DEADLINE: Sports journalism internship 12/5

The Sports Journalism Institute is accepting applications for its 17th class. The program places college students interested in a career in sports journalism to papers across the country for the summer 2009. The eight-week internship includes a nine-week training session (or "bootcamp") in St. Petersburg, Fla. (airline tickets, hotel arrangement are paid for) from May 29 through June 7.

This is a paid internship. I highly recommend that students interested in sports journalism to apply. I went through the program this past summer and it was very rewarding.
